(Charlotte, NC) Yolanda Bynum is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and holds a BA in Psychology with a Minor in Elementary Education. Raised in Pinetops, North Carolina, Yolanda now lives in Charlotte where she works as the Regional Director of Youth Development for the YWCA Central Carolinas. Prior to her current position as Regional Director and LTC Training Associate, Yolanda was a 5th Grade elementary school teacher in Charlotte, NC. Yolanda also serves as the Youth Minister of her church, and provides support to those in need through her program Organization Skills: More Than Just Cleaning. Additionally, Yolanda shares her expertise of youth organizing and health development as a Training Associate with Leading To Change where she provides training support and consultation to the “Teens Changing Gaston County (TCGC)” Youth Philanthropy program in Gaston County. Yolanda comes from a family of 4 sisters and enjoys poetry, classical music, singing, and guiding youth in her church. Yolanda is motivated and driven by the words of Marianne Williamson, “As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
